Yikes!
When I opened my blog this morning Blogger had changed everything with their new layout. I'm confused and really don't know what to do about this!
How do I go back to the old Blogger? How do I use this new one? I can't even see all of the tool bar! The preview looks "okay" so this is a test post.
If anyone has any helpful suggestions, PLEASE let me know!

How do I edit a post? I don't see a place to do that?

If you go up the "gear" in the upper right hand corner and click on it, there will be an option for "old blogger interface". You can click on that and go back to the old way for a short time. But like Facebook, soon we will all have the "new look".
ReplyDeleteI don't have answers to your other questions about how to use the new interface, though. Guess I should find them out, eh?
Connie from Living Beautifully was supposed to be having a tutorial. I don't know if she's finished with it but I think you would find it on her side bar. Hope this helps, Kathi!
ReplyDeleteKathi, I had the same problem earlier in the week. I did what Susan advises in her comment and so far they haven't caut up with me. Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteIt is a big change but once using it I think you'll like it. And it might be better to try it out know (when you are stil able to change to the old format) than when you cannot choose anymore.
ReplyDeleteFor your question on how to edit a post. When you log into your blogger account you arrive at 'dashboard' in the center/top you see how many page views, how many posts and how many followers you have in one line. Behind these three statistics you see a little picture, when you click on that you get a menu which has the 'same' options as the old blogger had. You click on posts/messages (i dont know which english word you will see their as I have the dutch version). Once arrived in that section you see a list of all the posts you've written. Click on the title of the message you'd like to edit and you arrive in the editor.
Oof.. it's a long post, but I hope I was able to help you a little bit and wish you a lot of luck with the new blogger interface.

I don't care for the new interface at all, I found it very difficult to use. I like the old, I find it much more user friendly, I like easy.

Looks like you got some great advise concerning the new Blogger Kathi! I had trouble too! Figured it out eventually but now have no idea how I did it!

I think you'll just have to play around with everything, Kathi, until you figure it out. That's what I'm doing. My understanding is that the old interface won't be an option by the end of the month so I'm just trying to figure this new one out. I don't like it at this point, though. :(

ReplyDeleteI tried using the new one for about a month thinking I just needed to get used to it. I switched back to the old interface,and can't frankly figure out what they are thinking!
