Cardstock And Painter's Tape

Here is what I've done so far with the stairs. It is all just held together with painter's tape for now. Once I get all of the measurements correct I'll make the new landing from wood.

I just made one little post for the stair railing. I want them to look like rope pilings. I found out how to secure the rope at Ehow.com.

We'll see how this all turns out?

  1. Dear Kathi
I have to make a stairs very similars to yours...I think that balsa wood can be a good option but now I have seen that you use painter's tap and cardboard, right? Then is the step made with wood?

  2. Hi Eva! I'm going to make the final landing out of basswood. The stairs are wood. What you see now is just made out of cardstock so I can get the measurements correct.
    Thanks for your comment!
