Dollhouse Miniature Fairy Garden

This little spring garden is 1.25 inches wide and is 2 inches tall.  It is sitting beside a 1:12 scale plant so you can see how tiny it is.

I had so much fun making this! It sits in a wooden crate and has a styrofoam base. The picket fence was made with card stock. I used a piece of nadina that Casey sent to me to make the tree. Thanks Casey!

The little chair is made with part of a wooden fan, a 1/4 inch hole punch and has wire legs. I made the flowers with my 1/8 inch hole punch and hand cut the leaves. I glued them to a piece of sewing thread and wrapped that around a wire for the arbor.

The "grass" is felt and the hedge along the side is dried moss. The gazing ball is the head of a sewing pin.

I plan to make one for summer, fall and winter too. They will be "for sale" in the garden center. :D

Hope you like my first fairy garden.  I love it!

Almost Finished!

I'm almost finished with Mike's little house. I made him an awning so he can cook outside. I also built a boat dock so he can get to his sailboat.

Once I get the lights working again and landscape the back of the house, I'll be DONE! :D

Tomorrow maybe?

Mini Modern Bedroom

I've been working on the bedroom furniture for my mini modern house.

I still have more detail to add to the bedside tables. I made a headboard but it was too BIG.

I love the fabric I found in my stash for the bedspread. It was part of a small quilted pillow top that I made a long time ago. I really didn't mind cutting it up. :D

Hope you have a nice day!

1 Inch Bathroom

It takes a very small plumber to install the fixtures in a 1 inch bathroom.

It will take an even smaller painter to go in there and touch up!

Hope you have a good day and thank you for your comments and prayers.

Mini Modern Progress

I'm making some progress with the mini modern house. I found a perfect piece of foam for the base and pool. The pool will be six feet deep or 1/2 inch in scale. :D

The bathroom upstairs is not quite finished. I'm trying to decide if I want to stain the exterior or paint it? I also need to add the windows and roof.

I really had fun making this teeny tiny sofa and pillows. It is 1/4 inch tall and 5/16 inch long. The pillows are 1/16 inch square and are reversible. They keep getting lost (!) so I may have to glue them on.

I've had some issues with glue for the "glass" wall. Nothing seems to want to stick... Anyone have an idea?

Yesterday MORE gifts arrived in the mail! They are from Casey and Caterina. I'll post photos of them tomorrow. There are more things for Grandma and something for me too! Can't wait to show you!

Hope your day is a happy one!

Mini Modern House

I've had this idea in my head for a long time. I want to make a 1:144 scale mini modern house.

This is what I've done so far. It will be a two story house with an open patio and pool.

I'm making it up as I go along. I think it will be fun to try to make some tiny modern furniture too.

Two Tiny Rugs

My little rug is finally finished! I also made a braided rug for the bedroom. :D

Here they are in the house. Sorry for the blurry photo. . .

I think my camera has tired eyes too.

Hope you have a happy day!

House Warming Give-A-Way - CLOSED

My teeny tiny house is finished! To celebrate, I'm having a house warming party and a give-a-way! (No, you won't be winning this little house. I couldn't bear to part with it!)

If you comment on THIS post by Saturday, November 20th, this is what you might win! There may be a little surprise tucked in too.

Three House of Miniature Furniture Kits
1:12 scale

They are WAY to big for my teeny house, plus it's already furnished. :D

I started building this house in September and it has taken me almost two months to complete! It began with inspiration from Nell Corkin, Pat Carlson, Tracy Topps and other miniaturists who make tiny houses. I truly admire the amazing work of these artists!

I'm sure I'll make another house in 1:144 scale someday. It was my most challenging project so far but also the most fun. Thank you for following my progress and encouraging me to keep going. I really appreciate the comments and suggestions you've made along the way.

I thought it would be fun to thank you by having a little give-a-way. I'm sure you noticed that the prize is NOTHING I've made. This time, it's something for YOU to make! I'm tired of making things right now! LOL

I'm going to get out the sawhorses, the jig saw and carpenter's square and start working on a much larger project next!

Hope you have a lovely day! Don't forget to comment here for a chance to win the give-a-way.

Chairs for the Garden

Minnie came outside this morning to show you the little chairs I made for her garden.

I used a hole punch for the seats, part of a wooden fan (Thanks Casey for the idea!) and wire for the legs. They are not quite 1/2 inch tall and that's a bit too big!

Thanks for your suggestions about the slate stone sidewalk. I'll do that after I finish the landscaping.

Here's an aerial view so you can see the scale of this project. Teeny tiny!

PS. I have 558 hole punch reinforcements left if anyone needs ONE?

Hope you have fun making minis today! :D
