Bathroom Tile and Hutch

I finished the tile! So far it has two coats of clear acrylic spray. Five more to go!

I found some images online for cloisonne wallpaper that I liked. I copied, re-sized and printed them to decoupage onto the hutch. The top photo is from Equilt.com fabrics. They have some beautiful fabrics! This one matches the wallpaper perfectly. :D

I'm off to spray another coat on the tile. Hope you have a happy day!

Spring Forward!

Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead tonight. I really like daylight savings time! Maybe it will help bring spring along a little bit sooner?

I'm moving right along with my projects. I finished the tile work today. Whew! I still have to spray the tile with 6-7 coats (!) of clear acrylic spray and grout them. Hopefully, I can finish that tomorrow? Thanks Josje for your great tutorial. I can't wait to see the tile IN the bathroom!

I have a Michael's hutch that I might use in the bathroom? I like what Casey did with one she had.
I've seen lots of good ideas. Mine won't show much because of the way the room is arranged. Not sure what I want to do with it yet...

Hope you had a nice day.
Sweet dreams,
Kathi

I'm not sure I want to spend my day doing this...

The tiles for the bathroom are cut. It looks like there are about a million of them?!

I really tried to cut them all the same size. Here's my second sample board...

I didn't use the tweezers this time. I still got glue on the front of the tiles. Plus they are still not straight! In the photo you can see that one is too small and one is crooked. Will that really matter?

I think I'll set the tiles aside and work on my give-a-way gifts today. There's still time to enter. Right now you have a 1 in 15 chance to win! I will draw the winning name today at 6 pm! Wonder who will win? :D

Bathroom Tile - Take Two

I'm using Josje's tutorial to make the tiles for my bathroom walls. I made a little sample board to see how my first tiles looked. Not so pretty. They are NOT straight. Plus the glue got on the front of the tile. I think the tweezers I used made the little spots?

I want to make subway tile. In mini scale they will be 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch long.
I had problems cutting the tiles with my paper cutter because there is no 1/4 inch mark on the edge of the cutter. I found some free 1/4 inch graph paper online and printed it out. Then I used spray adhesive to attach it to the back of my painted card stock.

Now it will be easier to cut the tiles. I also sprayed one coat of clear gloss on the front. I hope it will keep the glue from messing up the tiles?

I have a lot of cutting and pasting to do today! Hopefully, my second attempt will turn out better.

I also want to make some special things for my thank you give-a-way. Don't forget to comment on this previous post if you would like to enter! I will be drawing the winning name tomorrow at 6 pm! I can't wait to see who wins!

Hope you have a beautiful day!

Tile

I'm still making tiles for my bathroom. I thought what I have done so far was okay. Then I saw THIS house on Erin's blog, House of Turquoise today!

I'm going to start all over!
