I can't stand it any longer. I have no space to work!

My desk and my work table are covered with "stuff!" Something MUST be done about this and it must be done today!

I cannot continue building the garden center until I make room to work!

The mess continues around the workroom. When I can't find things and can't close the drawers, it's time!

Don't show this photo to Grandpa. That is his unfinished garage sitting on the table. Grandma is buried upstairs in her sewing room somewhere. I hope she is okay?!

Even the Adelaide Beachy is piled with things that don't belong there. It is in the kitchen. That is yet another room I need to clean up!

I have no idea how things go so out of control? Perhaps it is because I've been concentrating on the trees and couldn't see the forest?

If you don't see me for a couple of days, don't send my family to check on me. They already have concerns about my state of mind...

I Am NOT A Hoarder!

I'm not sure what got into me this morning?  Maybe it was the interview I had with our new patient yesterday?  She told me she was a "professional organizer."  I told her I needed her help!

We chatted and laughed about our houses and how we try to keep things organized.  She admitted to having her own dining room table covered with projects.  I liked her a lot!  :D

Today is garbage day here.  Inspired, I grabbed some trash bags and started stuffing stuff inside them.  I filled them with cardboard, styrofoam, plastic containers, pieces of foam core, broken clips and wrinkled paper...

ALL of this went OUT to the street!  Soon to be GONE, and hopefully soon forgotten!

I feel like I can breathe again!  I can walk from my work table to the closet without climbing over things!  Don't ask me why I hadn't done this before?  I have a lot of excuses.

Don't ask me why I took photos of my trash either.  LOL  My neighbors must be wondering that too!

Another reason I got sidetracked today is that I am stumped with my pool table bumpers.  I have tried.  I have cut wood.  I have wasted wood.  I have searched websites, reviewed the tutorial, clamped different things together and am still trying to figure out how to do this!

Then I found this fantastic dollhouse on Etsy built by Theresa Geer. I LOVE it!  It is a hoarder's dollhouse!

Photo from Twisted Lady Gems.

Theresa also makes beautiful jewelry. Go see how cute the rest of this dollhouse is! Then go get a big bag and start stuffing it!  :D

Enough is Enough - CLEANING, That Is!

I can now walk through my workroom without beads, wire and pieces of wood etc. sticking to my feet. I know where everything (almost) is and I can see the top of my desk. The lattice is back up with over-the-door hooks. Thanks for your suggestions!

It didn't take long for my desk to be taken over with Mike's little house parts...

Casey had a building inspector out to see her trailer. If YOU haven't seen it, you need to go here! Congratulations Casey, on finishing a project and a fine one it is too!

Mike's house did NOT pass inspection. Deficiencies were found in the roof. I'm going to have to remove the entire roof and fix it. :(

The pool did pass the inspector's eyes. It is up to code and the fountain even works! I found that clear tacky glue makes great looking "water" when dry. Sorry you can't really see it in this photo.

I decided to add another light in the garden area. It will up-light the palm trees and plants. I found some beautiful inspiration over at ::Lime in the Coconut:: today. Linda's real life garden is amazing!

Hope you had a great weekend! I am SO happy to be back to making minis!

Circumstantial Evidence

Take a look at my work room...

My son-in-law thinks I'm a "hoarder." Do you?

Hope you have a good day. I'm going to try to clean this up!

Fat Quarter

I just ordered a fat quarter of this fabric for my new dollhouse. The print is a bit large but I think it will work?

Guess where I found it?! The Seam Shoppe in Key West! Perfect.

I need to quit shopping and get back to cleaning up my workroom. But first I'm going to go get some storage containers for my paper, paint and flower making supplies. Right now everything is all over the place and I have no room to work!

Hope you are having fun today!

PS. Casey sent me hundreds of great little flower punched shapes! Can't wait to make more flowers! Thanks again Casey!
