Beads Etc.

I went to Michael's yesterday to get some little really round beads for my billiard balls. Here is what I bought.  I just can't go into that place and only buy one thing!  If you poke the photo you can see all of my goodies better.

I had a coupon plus some things were on sale. Love the textured felt. It will make a great rug.

I did get my little beads. They are the perfect size for billiard balls.  :D

I had to cut my triangle down to fit the smaller beads. Now it is very close to 1:12 scale (below). I needed two brown and two orange beads, plus one black 8 ball.  I painted those.

Then I realized that the ends of my sewing pins (the six at the front) are almost the same size as the beads I bought! I could have saved myself a lot of trouble if I had noticed that first!  LOL

I'm not sure I will take the time to add the stripes and numbers? Maybe the 8 ball will get one? Writing numbers on 1/8" circles may cause blindness.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Cross Stitch Fabric

I decided the linen fabric I had planned to use for the sofa was too dark. All of my other furniture is white so I thought I would try something else. I thought I had enough of this cross stitch fabric to finish my sofa and make a chair.

Sadly, I have barely enough for the sofa. I need to get more fabric but I can't remember what kind it is!

I'm pretty sure the color is oatmeal. It is 14 count. It might be hardanger, it might be fiddler's cloth or it might be Charles Craft Aida?

I guess I'll have to make a trip to Michael's before I can continue.

Oh darn. :D

Do You Know What Knurled Nuts Are?

I didn't either. I was at Lowe's today looking in their hardware section, you know... for dollhouse supplies. A very friendly salesperson asked if I needed any help? I said I was looking for a shower head for my dollhouse.

In the blink of an eye he handed me these! No snickers, no raised eyebrows just good fast service!

I also picked up a shower curtain rod (above) and some other "plumbing" supplies.

Then I went to Michael's and got a new silver leaf pen, two more of their dollar hutches, some beads (of course) and some other things I "needed."

I'm going to try to make a shower curtain with grommets. Like this one from Restoration Hardware.

We'll see how that goes?
Hope you are having a good day!
Blessings, Kathi
