500! 500 Followers! Give-A-Way!

Gifts from Jennifer and Troy!

I received some wonderful gifts in the mail yesterday! Jennifer sent me all of these pretty things in my favorite color. She included a bag of homegrown lavender too! It smells so nice! Thank you so much Jennifer!



Troy sent me some nice surprises too! I love the "reversible" magazines. What a great idea!



The card Troy sent is a photo of one of Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural drawings. It is so inspiring that I spent several hours yesterday reading about architecture and learning how these drawings are made. Fascinating!



Sadly, the elephant who delivered Troy's gifts stomped on the magazine rack. All of the pieces are here. I just need to try to glue them back together...

I love presents and I love sweet surprises like these!

Grandpa Picks A Winner!

Grandpa took his lunch to the beach and had quite a few friends join him. Everyone was excited to see who would win the Followers Give-A-Way!

Grandpa had the number of each person who entered the give-a-way in a grocery bag. I think the birds were hoping there was more food in there!

When Grandpa finished his lunch, he shook the big bag, closed his eyes and drew the winning number.

Amazing Mail from Deborah Today!

I received my gifts today from winning Deborah's 100th follower give-a-way. Look at the beautiful things she made for me!


They are perfect for my beach house! There are also two miniature shell balls and an itsy bitsy bit of sea sponge. The coral is only 2 millimeters wide! The jar is one inch tall.

I can't believe how tiny these shells are! These are Deborah's photos. My camera just won't focus on things this small!

Thank you so much Deborah! I really appreciate your thoughtfulness in making these for me. They will be proudly displayed in my house soon. I think they will look great in the bathroom!

Speaking of the bathroom...
My first attempt at making tiles isn't going so well. The card stock I used warped and curled up around the edges. It's sitting under my heavy Home Depot 123 books now. If it doesn't flatten out I'll try some heavier weight card. If at first you don't succeed - try try again - right?

Thank You Starbucks!

I ran into Starbucks today at lunchtime. Ordered a sparkling blackberry drink and a slice of their yummy pumpkin bread. Then I asked to speak with the manager. A really nice guy came up to the counter and asked "may I help you?" I said, "yes you can!"

I told him I was working on a dollhouse and I needed a handful of their coffee stir sticks. He said, "sure," grabbed a BIG bunch and put them in an empty cup for me.

Cost? NOTHING!
