SSSSSSSNAKE!

This is my sweet little Nugget, the great and mighty hunter! Protector of our back yard.

Yesterday he found a BIG snake that looked like THIS! I had to chase him away from it with a broom! Nugget was determined to save me and would not leave the snake alone!

The snake was all coiled up, flaring his nasty nostrils and shaking his tail at us! Thankfully, neither one of us was hurt. That snake is still out there somewhere... SSSSSSCARY!

I went to Starbucks yesterday morning to get more coffee stirrer sticks. I took some of the things I have made with them to show the manager. He gladly refilled my cup of sticks. Thank you Starbucks! :D

This is one corner of the real Starbucks coffee shop interior. I love the colors, the art on the walls and this chair!

When I got home, I realized that one of the fabrics I bought for my coffee shop is very similar to this. I've started making a little sofa. I plan to make a chair (or two) also.

Hope you have a great day! I've got lots of WORK to do!

There is still time to enter my 500+ followers give-a-way! The winner will be chosen tomorrow morning!

Early to Bed, Early to Rise

It is still dark here this morning so I had to use the flash on my camera to show you the progress on my new sofa.

I am still trying to figure out how to do the arms of the sofa. They are always what gives me trouble.

That is my favorite coffee mug. It's by Sandra Boynton. On the back it says "Grin and ignore it." :D

I'm SO glad it's FRIDAY! My co-worker hasn't been in to work for the past two days. She's "sick." I'm just putting one foot in front of the other, keeping calm and carrying on.

Tomorrow I'm going to do this!

Sofa Pattern

I decided to make a new sofa for the living room. Right now all you can see is the paper pattern and the cushions.

This is rather tricky. I'm hoping it will work out? If it does, I'll make a chair to match.

Hope you have a lovely day!

Sofa So Far

Here's the frame of my new sofa. I covered the cardboard with Aida cloth. (Thanks Casey!) There is no padding on this part and I just used glue on the edges. I didn't want any glue to soak through the fabric where it could be seen.

The next challenge is to figure out how to cover the top of the arms of the sofa. I thought maybe these little strips of paper covered with the fabric might work?

I want them to look finished with no edges showing. Hope I can do this? :D
