I took everything out of the kitchen this morning to see if there might be a spot for a small table?
I made this little table a long time ago. I was going to use it in the living room area but there is just no room there. I may build an L-shaped bar for this area instead of using the table?
For the right side wall, I bashed a couple of Michael's hutches and used blue painter's tape to hang them on the wall to see how they might look.
The cabinet next to the stove is the original sink cabinet that I had purchased for the kitchen. The microwave is hiding the hole where the sink was.
Before I get bogged down in more details and accessories I need to decide on the floor plan!
I've been going about this helter skelter. I need to make a decision and then get back to work.
Will you help me decide? I think I like this plan. Do you?

It seems to me that the kitchen is very cozy!
Really like the cabinets on the wall.
Wow! I thought this beachy little kitchen was life size until I saw the roll of tape. Lovely work!
I think it is coming along nicely.
The only thing that I can think, is that if you make an L shaped bar, you might not be able to see the stuff at the back as well.
I like it. It is a little crowded but cozy. I really like the little table because I can picture some sitting there, drinking coffee with their paper, or maybe rolling out cookies on it.
Thanks for your comments!
This IS a little kitchen! 8x12"
My next house (?) will hopefully have a larger one...
I agree with you Dale about the bar. I may make a round table instead of this one?
I'm fighting with tiny hinges right now. Grrrrrr....
I think round would be perfect!
With all of the squares and right angles in the room, the round table would give your eyes a nice place to rest and with a cloth on it, even just a little one would add some softness.
I'm busy fighting with blogger, I almost wasn't able to come back and post. Was getting just the little swirly thing for a while... and locked out of fb. ugh :(
Your kitchen is looking great! A wall mounted bar is not a bad idea instead of a table? I think you could make it work either way.
I like the idea of a bar, if you go with the bar make sure the width is smaller so you have more room. However, a small round table will give it a more cozy/homey feeling.
This is a wonderful kitchen. I put a breakfast bar in my Baxter Pointe Villa with two bar stools. It took up a lot less room than a table would have. Maybe try cutting a piece of cardboard with a bracket under it to see if you like it. You could also make a drop leaf counter attached to the wall or a drop leaf table now that you know hinges so well! :D
