Packing the Plants

If you were going on a trip would you take any mini projects to work on? I can't imagine six days without minis!

I usually wake up around 4 am each day. I'll need something to do while my children are sleeping. :D

My little orange tree needs a friend to go by the front door of the beach house.

I need to make more palm trees. I have some leaves already started.

I have flowers that need to be finished and lots more to make.

I'll need painted paper, masking tape, wire, brown paper, paint, scissors, glue, toothpicks, some pins, paint brushes, watercolor pencils ... am I forgetting anything?

Then there is that bougainvillea that I attempted several months ago. I never did finish that. I'm not even sure I know where it is right now?

I don't know how much of this, if anything, may get done? I'm hoping to have some new things to show you when I get back.

I'll be visiting everyone on my son-in-law's laptop while I'm away. I hope to be able to share a post or two also?

Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! I need to get packing!

Oh, I almost forgot. Will you please feed my fish while I'm gone? :D

My destination is key if I want to pack mini projects. Space for my things to be and be left alone by little fingers and unfamiliar kitty noses, that sort of thing. I can usually find some project that doesn't need a ton of microscopic bits and bobs to take with me.

I have to say though my needlework travels much better than most any mini project. Which of course means needlework in miniature is the best solution, for me anyway.

Hope you have a safe trip and a marvelous holiday!

HAHA I can totally relate! I couldn't leave home for any length of time without packing some sort of something to work on. Idle hands and all that....Gotta have something. And I too get up before the roosters so I need to have something to be working on quietly as I sip my coffee. Those quiet moments are precious!

Have fun on your holidays! I'm wondering too about taking a few supplies when I go to the cottage in New Zealand next week for a month's stay to work on a couple of mini projects (I have some things there already so my dilemma is not as great as yours), on the other hand there are so many 1:1 projects that need attention...

Sometimes the withdrawal cause dizziness, fainting, vomiting ... I am sure that you do not want to suffer, and bring something to do with you ... ha ha!
Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
kisses, Caterina

Have a wonderful trip and a very merry Christmas Kathi! You could always take a little notebook and write or sketch all your new mini ideas while you're away, trips always bring more ideas! :)
