It is still dark here this morning. I'm packing my weekend wardrobe. I won't need to take much...
Looks like Nugget wants to go too?
Sure wish I could take him with me. :D

Tip Of The Day
I bought this cute canvas bag the other day for my trip to Florida. I got these shoes at another place on another day. I think the shoes are too pink and too plain.
This morning I played with some of my fabric paints. I want to paint a design on my shoes.
Some of the paints worked and others didn't. About.com has some great tips for fabric paints. I'm going to get some yellow and orange paint. Then I will start playing again...
My tip for the day is: If you want to finish something (aka coffee shop, cork board) don't get sidetracked by shoes that don't match your bag. :D

Cork Board In Progress
No. My DIY cork board is not finished. I did get the black frame painted and the cork attached. Now I'm thinking about what to do next...
Remember that little square cork board I had? I think I will cover it with fabric and attach it on the side. Maybe not this fabric. Maybe not this stencil. I'll keep working until I find something I like.
The original collage photo frame had a big piece of thin clear plastic in the front that I won't be using for this. Lots of "free" window making material. :D
Hope you have a happy day!

DIY Corkboard
This is the little corkboard I have hanging behind my desk. Way too small and messy!
Using things I already have, I'm going to make a larger display board.
I was happy to see the collage photo frame I never used was exactly the right size for my space. I'm planning to cover the inside of the frame with cork. The roll of cork I have is not quite long enough. Has anyone ever used magnetic paint? Does it work?
This will be a quick (?) little project for after work today. I will show you how it turns out later.
I want to welcome all of my new followers and thank everyone who has entered my little give-a-way! You have until July 1st to enter. :D
Hope you have a beautiful day!

Looks like I will need to make a new floor for this corner of the coffee shop. I finally got out the graph paper. Should have done that first!
I like this too. I'll need a place to display my custom blend "Sunshine Coffee." :D
The more ideas I find, the smaller this kit becomes! NOW I'm thinking about eliminating the apartment, moving the stage upstairs and reworking my entire plan! If I do that, I will have LOTS more room downstairs.
As you can see, there is not much room here. It's a challenge to figure out where to put everything. Sounds like my workroom!
I want one of these in the shop somewhere. I may try to make one? Gotta have a fridge!

It's okay if I change my mind (again) right?

Back To Work
I don't know if you will even notice, but I repainted the coffee shop walls. I like these colors better.
I've also been working on the serving area. The raised floor is done. Now I can start building the counter.
There is only so much cleaning one can do before the urge to get back to minis takes over!
I'm going on a little excursion today. I need more coffee sleeves from Panera Bread. :D
I also discovered a place called Harbor Freight. It doesn't sound like a place for mini supplies, does it? There is a store not far from me. They have 12" adjustable clamps on sale for $1.99 each! Gotta go!
Hope you have a beautiful day!

Simple Solution
I found a simple solution for hanging my supply cups on the end of the bookcase. :D
Not sure why I didn't think of this first? These options are no longer options!
I'll need to visit Panera Bread again for more FREE coffee cup sleeves.
Maybe Starbucks has them too? I'll have to go see. I need another cup of coffee this morning anyway.
Hope you have a great day!

Trying To Contain Myself
I found some cute white plastic cups and baskets at CVS yesterday. I bought all they had, but I think I need more...
I'm still undecided about where to put these? This might work?
I really don't want to spend too much time making a place for them. I have LOTS of other things to do!
I really want to get back to work on the coffee shop. Right now I can hardly find the things I need to continue. Plus, there is NO SPACE TO WORK!
Just looking at this mess makes me want to crawl back into bed...

Pencil Cups
I've been playing with some ideas for the pencil, pen and craft stick holder that I want to hang on the wall.
This one is made with a cardboard mailing tube cut at a 60 degree angle. Simple. Wouldn't take long to finish these.
I made this one with tongue depressors aka jumbo craft sticks. Making 12 of these would take forever!
I would really like to come up with something that would hold a cup that could be removed when I wanted to use just the things that were inside it. I'm still thinking about that ...
Hope your day is a happy one!

Pens Etc.
First you have to see what you have. Then you need to figure out what to do with them. These options are NOT working for me!
These may not be all of the pens and pencils I have. There may be more that have fallen behind the bookcase where I kept them?
Then there are my craft sticks in various cups. They take up too much table and shelf space. I need a better solution for these too.
My Michael's revolving storage won't revolve because there is too much stuff around it! I'm planning to just keep my scissors and tools in here. Taking the pens out of this has helped.
Now. What to do with all of those pens and sticks? I found this great solution at CreativeCricket.blogspot.com. Her Grandfather helped her make this with PVC pipe. Love it!
I have a mailing tube that is 2 inches in diameter. No need to go buy PVC pipe. :D
The end of this bookshelf is within reach of my table. It is about the only flat surface I have left around here! Watch this space.
Getting my wood organized has inspired me to keep working on my workroom. I'm trying to find a place for everything. I have a new motto: "If you don't need this today, put it away!" We'll see if I can stick to that?

How About A Little Give-A-Way Challenge?
Today is the 4th year anniversary of Beautiful Mini Blessings! I originally said "5 years" but it's only been four. :D Four great years!
Thanks to everyone who reads my blog and has been following along. I appreciate each of your comments and suggestions too! To celebrate, I am giving away a little coffee shop. :D

I bought these little coffee shop kits on Ebay. One will go to the winner of this give-a-way.
These are some photos from the Ebay seller. Everything you need to finish the kit is included. That's the challenge part!
It is small enough to sit on a shelf or hang on the wall. I'm not sure what scale it is? It measures 6" x 7" and is 2" deep. You will need to make everything yourself, including the rattan chairs! *wink*
To enter this give-a-way you need to comment on THIS post and be a follower of my blog. I will draw the winning name on Sunday, July 1st.
I can't wait to see who is up to the challenge and who wins!

A Place For Everything
I finally finished my wood storage cabinet. The stenciled front panel was an afterthought. I like it. :D
Now I have a place to store wood, dowels, foam core, cardboard etc. Someday I might add casters to the bottom so I can roll it around? Right now, it is what it is, where it is, and it's done!

Now I need to go clean up the mess I made building this! Hope you have a great day!

It's Only Paint
This idea has been in the back of my head from the beginning. I know it's a bold move.
I wanted some color in the coffee shop and now I have it! I'm going to look at this for a while before I decide if it stays. It's only paint. I can always change it.
I'm also trying different layouts for the serving area.
I may just buy a display case instead of trying to build one with a curved counter? I'll need to find one that is the right dimensions. This one is on Ebay.
If I can't find the size I need, I may try Lesley Shepherd's tutorial at About Miniatures.com to make one?
Thank you for all of your sweet comments about my coffee cup book shelf. :D
I made it using one piece of card stock that was 3/4" wide and 11 1/4" long. Then I just folded it to the shape I wanted, glued it, added a back and wooden shelves.
I might need to make one that is just a little bit smaller now that I see where it will go. I may not add the back to the next one and just leave it open? We'll see...
Hope you have a wonderful day!
