Little Crooked House

I could see this coming. It's part of the reason I haven't finished Mike's little modern house. It's crooked. Mike doesn't seem to mind. But I do.

Even though I measure and square and measure again something always seems to get out of whack.

I get one side right and the glue pops on the other side! Do you think the chimney is too tall?

I'm thinking about buying some 1/16" wood decking from Micro-Mark for around the pool. I can also use it in the little Spanish house. Micro-Mark is having a HUGE sale until the end of August. I'll be getting a few more things that have been on my wish list too. :D

I stopped working on Grandma's sewing room when I couldn't figure out how to finish her sewing table. I'm sure you never quit something just because it isn't working out, do you?

It's always more fun to start something new than finish something that's difficult! Shopping sounds like fun right now too. Then I'll get back to Mike's house. It is almost finished!

Hope you are having a beautiful day!

We are our own worst critics. Is that how that saying goes? I don't see a glue mess, or a crooked house

Kathi, are we not supposed to jump from one thing to another? I thought that was the rule. Work on something until you get bored, then drop it and start something else. Yup! I'm sure that is a rule that I read somewhere....Mine always gets done....Sooner or later...And not necessarily in order...

Your little house looks very nice to me. I have more unfinished projects than I want to try to count. I don't think of it as quitting just waiting for the right time, material or idea to come along to finish it right. Some times a break from some thing allows you to see it more clearly. Thanks for telling us about the sale, I'm going shopping,

Wow, I love this house. It is so original. So many great ideas in such a tiny house. Bravo.

I think that when you build something that is so small then 1 mm will incorrectly make big impact, so it is difficult to get straight lines? I think your house is cool.

Kathi, I think the little house is impressive and am not surprised at all that Mike is comfortable there. I'm eager to see the Spanish house come together too. As others have said, we are always our worst critics, sometimes you just have to let it be what it has become.

I'm definitely heading over to MircoMark today, I've got a birthday budget that needs spending :)

Thanks for your encouragement. I have the roof glued and clamped again. Hopefully, this time it will hold! Will be working on the pool next.
