Kathi, you need to use the corners of the jig to get things to stay square! Do the pieces in the corners and it will be much easier to keep them straight. If at first you don't succeed....and all that...
I agree with Casey. I love my jig too, but it has limitations for certain things. I often rely on the corners as the starting point. Just think of what you've already learned! You've got this, no problem :D
Kathi, I agree with Casey and the other person. I always use the corners. You will see what a difference it makes. Don't ever give up! Have you read Kilmouski and Me today? She is sharing the story of a very motivating example of an elderly lady who did not give up and accomplished something incredible! I know gluing can sometimes be hard. For example, the imitation brass bed I'm building!
And if you find that the four corners of the jig are not enough,use Legos to make more! Works great to get a nice 90 degree angle!

Thanks for all of your tips! I knew I was doing something wrong!I'm going to start over and be more careful with my cuts. Then I will SURE to start gluing in the corners! LOL
