Coffee Shop Exterior - Painted

I had time yesterday to apply one coat of paint on the coffee shop exterior.  It took me forever to decide on these colors!

The Ebay bench will not stay where it is.  I may not even use it?  I just liked the design.

I'm trying different colors for the window trim.  My original idea was to paint them black and add MS metallic glaze.  Now I think white might look better?

The shop looks too flat to me.  I think it needs something?  I'm still planning to add stucco to the walls.  I'm undecided about adding stone.

The homemade paper clay recipe #1 worked great!  When the stones were completely dry (about 36 hours) they were hard as rocks.  I accidently dropped some on the floor and they didn't break.

I painted them with ModPodge matt sealer and then added some sand for texture.  Not sure I like them for this project...

Since this is my first real build,  I'm not really sure how to proceed?   I'm planning to change the roofline, should I build those windows next?   When should I add the lights?

Do you finish the interior walls before you put a kit together? Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated!

Hope you have a wonderful day and thank you SO much for your comments!

I love the color! I am working on a bakery shop (that is now a donut shop) and I painted my interior walls before assembling them. But now I want to change it! I think it is easier to work on it seperately if you are painting them, but I do not know if you are going to wallpaper them. Have fun!

If you have the wallpapers/paint ready i would finish the interior walls before putting the kit together. My previous house i did it before building, once built it was fnished from the inside and it was easier to doe.
With my current house i first build the kit and now I am finishing the interior walls room after room because I wanted to have more time to decide. It's up to you! I think i would finish it before assembling (it's not a big kit right?)

Oh Kathi I'm so proud of you! It's such a fun to watch your blog in the last weeks and to see how busy you are and how much fun you have. I wish I could have more patience and energie for doing this like you. I only make quick scenes, a foto - and that's it. How much more satisfying must this be what you made. I look every day to your blog and today I will try the selfmade clay with the children who got my two dollshouses.
best wishes to you, dear!

Everyone has a different method - I prefer to wallpaper once the kit is assembled so that I can wrap the wallpaper around the corners to seal any gaps. If I'm painting the walls I usually do that before assembly.

I usually wallpaper after the kit is built, but wait to add all of the window and door moulding after wallpapering. Everyone has their own method. My reasoning is that I just keep changing my mind as the build evolves.

I also have a tutorial on how to make stone and bricks out of newspaper. It's kind of like paper mache.

Its coming along great. I am kind of a traditionalist, but I would do the trim in white. I would probably figure out some ways to hide the wires for lights next, then assemble around the wires.

If you are using tape method for electrifying your house than you do that first... Haven't done led yet. I hear that is really easy. Good luck on what you decide. I love that color pink... LJ
