Quick Pic

Here is a quick picture of the progress I've made on the little house. I decided that the tiny turning porch posts didn't look quite right so I changed them.

I'm making the roof shingles from sand paper. I like how that looks so far. :D

It's time to get out the magnifying lamp and do some sanding and touch ups.

Hope YOU have fun making minis today!

How About A Little Porch?

I'm not really happy with the flat front of this little house. In order to change that, I'm building a front porch.

I'm using the tiniest turnings I have. They may be a little too big? The railing is 1/4 inch tall.

I hope this works? If not, I'll have to order some smaller tiny turnings!

Hope you have a good day!

The House of Blues

I'm making some progress on your little 1:144 scale dollhouse. :D
The windows are installed and the wallpaper is done.

I didn't like the solid doors that came with the kit for front of the house. I'm making new ones using one those famous fans.

That's it for today. I need to go grocery shopping, get my haircut and find something to wear to my youngest son's graduation next Saturday in West Palm Beach, Florida!

Tim will be graduating with a Doctorate of Pharmacy! I am SO proud of him!

So far, 77 people have entered my 350 followers give-a-way! Now there are 22 more followers!

WELCOME and don't forget to click on this post if you would like a chance to win this little "house of blues."

Hope you have a beautiful day!

Gifts to Make!

I started working on the gift for the winner of my 350+ Followers Give-A-Way. There is still a lot to do. I want to thank Casey for the beautiful blue 1:144 scale wallpapers. :D

I've also been planning the five gifts I'll be making for the Pay It Forward swap. I need to go get some E-Z Water for those. . .

Thank you for all of your sweet comments and prayers for those who have lost so much in the recent tornadoes. My patients at work have been telling me about what happened to them, their families and friends. It is all just so sad.

I'm hoping a little mini-making will help me keep my mind busy. Hope you have a good weekend.

Grandpa's Dollhouse

Grandpa found this little dollhouse kit on Ebay. He will have to build this one, not me!

I have enough projects going already! Like this screen door I'm trying to build. I've never made a door before. I'm having to build my own door because the opening is too short for a regular door. Grandma will have to watch her head when she goes in and out. :D

I have been searching for screen material for this door for weeks. Yesterday on some dear railroader's site, someone left a comment that suggested using tulle.

I just happen to have yards of white tulle left over from when I made my daughter's wedding veil. (10 years ago!) I sprayed it lightly with silver gray paint. You can also buy black tulle ribbon but I didn't have any of that. I think it would make the perfect screen.

Thanks to all of the railroad modelers out there. You have some great ideas!
