Caterina's Summer Swap Gifts

I have been waiting to show you the gifts I received and those I made for Caterina's Summer Swap. Today Caterina revealed photos of all the wonderful miniatures made by the participants in her swap. This was so much fun and I met two new mini friends! :D

Here are the things I received from Eleonora. I love them!

I admire anyone who can make miniature food. This little Italian picnic is so cute and so well done. The bread not only looks real, it feels real too! I love the lasagna and there is even a little piece cut for me! Just look at that little sandwich! Amazing! Thank you SO MUCH Eleonora!

I just realized that I have 4,658 photos stored on my computer! Many of them need to be deleted. I really need to get them organized.

This Is Only A Test

I'm working on the chandelier again today. My first attempt was not so successful. When I tested the lights they snapped, crackled and popped. Sparks, smoke... scary!

This one is going to be better. At least the light works!

Gifts from Casey and Caterina!

Caterina sent me these beautiful things for her Holiday Summer Swap. Grandma LOVES them and so does Grandpa! :D They are perfect for a summer day at the beach! Thank you Caterina!


Casey sent gifts too! Love this tiny 1/4 scale furniture. Enough to furnish an entire house! The little chairs are adorable! Just look how cute the tub and toilet are! Thank you Casey!


Casey also included some little picket fencing and two of her beautiful baskets. I think the tiny orange balls will make great oranges on a tiny orange tree? That is, if I can see them well enough to add them?!


I've been admiring how Casey uses nadina to make plants. Now I have some of that too! The "ready made" plants look like palm trees to me? I love the little "pumpkins!"


Thank you SO much Caterina and Casey! You are so kind and generous! I love each and every thing!

My daughter received very sad news yesterday. I'm sad too. Please continue your prayers for her. We are trusting in God's goodness and love. He gives us comfort and hope.

Gifts From Drora!

Look at the precious gifts I received from Drora in Israel! These are the things she made for me as part of the Pay It Forward Swap. Aren't they beautiful?!!!


I LOVE the straw purse with the sunflowers! The shells are from the Sea of Galilee. Drora even sent a gift for Grandma's sewing room! Please poke the photo to see the details!

Hello and Goodbye

I would like to say "Hello" to all of my new followers! Welcome to each and everyone of you!

I will be mailing Flor's little house to her today. Before I say "Goodbye" to the house, I took some photos to share with you.


The house is 2 1/2 inches tall. I used Grandpa's dollhouse kit found on Ebay. Then I added the porch, window boxes and other details.

The doors on the back were remodeled with Casey's famous fans. I couldn't find my tiny hinges so I use fabric ones. Here is a photo of the interior.


I had so much fun building this house. I've only made two 1:144 scale houses so far but I'm sure there will be more. :D

Congratulations again Flor! I hope your little house arrives safe and sound and that you like it.

Unpacking

I unpacked some of my living room accessories this morning. I found some gifts that I have received too. It will be fun arranging them.

Summer Swap Gifts

I've had the best time participating in Caterina's Summer Holiday swap! Sonya was my swap partner. Look at all of the wonderful gifts she sent to me!


They are all PERFECT for my beach house! Thank you SO MUCH Sonya! I love each and every little thing as well as the cute fish tote bag!

My gifts went to Beatriz in Mexico. We went on a road trip to the Great Smoky Mountains.

There is no better way to see the USA than going by car! Does anyone remember Dinah Shore?

We saw beautiful view like this and even some wildlife now and then...

When we got hungry, we just stopped at a roadside park and had a picnic lunch.

Of course we had to watch out for poison ivy and clean up when we left!
